How to Use Barcode Scanning at Checkout

Quickly and easily add products to a checkout by scanning their barcodes. This article will walk you through how to use our built-in barcode scanning feature during the checkout process in the mobile app.
Adding Products at Checkout via Barcode Scanning:
When checking out through the mobile app, you can use the barcode scanner to add products to the ticket effortlessly. You can scan multiple quantities of the same item or different items with ease.
Steps to Add Products Using Barcode Scanning:
- From the Checkout screen, tap + Add more.
- Select Barcode Scanning.
- Scan the Products:
- For multiples of the same item: Continue holding the barcode under the scanner, or adjust the quantity using the + and - buttons.
- For different items: Move the new item's barcode under the scanner.
- When finished tap Done and Add Products. If you've scanned multiples of the same item, each one will appear as an individual line item on the checkout ticket.
If the Barcode is Not Recognized:
To scan a product at checkout, it must be in your inventory with a matching barcode. If the barcode isn't recognized, you'll have two options:
- Product Not in Inventory: If the product isn't already in your inventory, you'll need to add it before proceeding. Press the Add this product to your inventory button to proceed.
- Barcode Not Recognized for Existing Product: If the product is in your inventory but the barcode isn't recognized, you can select Add this barcode to a product already in your inventory to associate the barcode with the existing item.
