How to Update Your Personal & Contact Information

Easily update your personal and contact information within your GlossGenius account. This article walks you through updating details like your name, email, phone number, bio, and social media links via the mobile app or web browser. Team accounts have specific permissions and limitations, which are also covered.

Video Walkthrough
Add or Update Your Information (Mobile App):
To add or update your personal or contact information in the GlossGenius app, navigate to Features > Settings > Personal & Contact Info.
Contact Information:
You can update the following details:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Phone
- License No.
- SMS Consent
Note: When updating your phone number, a verification code will be sent to your updated number to ensure the security of your account and verify the ownership of the new contact information. Please enter the verification code promptly to finish updating your phone number.
Team Accounts:
If you are on a team account, then in addition to the options above, you can also update the settings below. If you are a solo professional, you can find the below options within Features > Settings > Website.
About:
Add a bio for yourself to share with clients! This can include your experience, specialties, certifications, and whatever else you'd like to share with your clients. Please note that there is a 500 character count limit.
Social Accounts:
Link your social media or business website:
- Yelp
- Website
Note: When connected, an icon linking to the social media account or website will appear in the upper righthand corner of your booking site for easy client access.
Add or Update Your Information (Web Browser):
To add or update your personal or contact information in the web browser, click Settings > Personal > Personal Details.
Here you can add or update your contact information, including the following:
- Profile Picture
- First Name
- Last Name
- Phone
- License No.
- SMS Consent
- Password Reset
Team Account Limitations:
If you are an account owner, you will be unable to update your team member's email or phone number. Only the team member can update this information if they have the Update Personal Details permission enabled.
Note: When tapping the phone number field in the mobile app, it will trigger our two-factor authentication, and a request will be sent to your phone. If the code is entered, you will be redirected to your personal information, as you cannot update the phone number or email address for your team member.
